Overview
Heavy Truck Collision Repair
Heavy truck collision work is a different discipline from passenger vehicle repair. The components are larger, the frames are ladder rails rather than unibody shells, hoods and fairings are moulded composite, and the downtime cost per day is measured in loads not delivered.
We work the way a fleet needs a shop to work: assess quickly, quote in writing, order parts immediately on approval, and communicate the return-to-service date honestly — including when it moves.
What this service covers
- Cab, sleeper and roof structure repair
- Hood, fairing and composite panel repair or replacement
- Frame rail straightening, sectioning and reinforcement
- Rollover and wreck reconstruction
- Bumper, step, tank strap and mirror assembly replacement
- Door, glass, mirror and lighting replacement
- Air line, wiring harness and electrical repair after impact
- Full refinish with fleet colours and decal replacement
Built around downtime, not around the calendar
The first question every fleet manager asks is when the unit is back. We answer it as early as we honestly can, and we build the repair sequence around getting there — long-lead parts identified and ordered on day one, bodywork and paint staged so the unit is not waiting on a booth, and a single point of contact who actually returns calls.
Key points
- Written assessment and quote, usually within one business day of the unit arriving
- Long-lead items flagged and ordered the moment the repair is authorised
- Direct line to the person actually managing your unit
- Progress updates without you having to chase them
- Honest revision of the date if a part or an authorisation moves it
Rollovers and major wrecks
A rollover damages far more than the panels that touched the ground. Roof structure, door alignment, mirror mounts, exhaust stacks, air and electrical lines, fuel and DEF tanks, fifth wheel mounting and frame alignment all need checking, and much of it is not visible until the unit is stripped.
We assess the whole unit before quoting and give you a clear repair-versus-replace opinion. Where the economics do not favour repair, we say so — a fleet is better served by a straight answer than by a repair that consumes the value of the truck.
Insurance and fleet self-insurance
Commercial claims involve more parties than a passenger claim — the carrier, the insurer, sometimes a leasing company, sometimes a customer whose freight was on board. We document thoroughly for exactly that reason, and we can work equally well against an insurer's authorisation or against a self-insured fleet's internal purchase order process.

Heavy Truck & Fleet FAQ
Questions about heavy truck collision repair
If yours is not here, call the shop — somebody who works on the vehicles will answer it.
How quickly can you look at a unit?
Get it to us and we will assess it. In most cases you will have a written quote within one business day, and we will tell you straight away if a long-lead part is going to drive the timeline.
Can you repair a composite hood rather than replacing it?
Frequently, yes. Composite hoods can be structurally repaired and refinished at a fraction of replacement cost, and lead times on new hoods can be long. Where the mounting structure is compromised, replacement is the right call and we will say so.
Do you handle decals and fleet livery?
Yes. We refinish to your fleet colours and replace decals, numbering and DOT markings so the unit goes back looking like the rest of your fleet rather than like a repaired truck.
