Auto Glass & Windshield
The windshield contributes meaningfully to roof crush resistance and to correct airbag deployment. A poorly bonded replacement is not simply a leak risk — it is a safety failure that only shows up in the one event you needed it for.
We use manufacturer-approved urethane, respect the safe-drive-away time for the temperature on the day, and recalibrate the camera systems that sit behind the glass.

Repair the chip before it becomes a replacement
A chip smaller than a two-dollar coin, outside the driver's direct line of sight and not touching the edge of the glass, can usually be resin-filled in under an hour. It stops the crack spreading and costs a fraction of a replacement — and many Alberta policies cover chip repair with no deductible at all.
Alberta's temperature swings are what turn chips into cracks. A cold windshield hit with hot defrost air, or a warm one hit by cold rain, expands and contracts unevenly and the chip runs. If you have one, get it filled before the weather does it for you.
Why calibration is not optional
If your vehicle has lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control or automatic emergency braking, there is a camera looking through the windshield. Its aim is measured in fractions of a degree. Changing the glass moves it.
Depending on the manufacturer, recalibration is static (performed in the shop against a target board at a measured distance), dynamic (performed on a road drive at specified speeds) or both. We follow the procedure the manufacturer specifies for your vehicle and provide the completion report.

Can my chip be repaired or does the glass need replacing?
As a rule of thumb: smaller than a toonie, not in the driver's critical viewing area, and not reaching the edge of the glass means it is repairable. Long cracks, edge cracks and anything directly in the driver's sightline mean replacement.
How soon can I drive after a windshield replacement?
It depends on the urethane and the ambient temperature. We will give you a specific safe-drive-away time on the day — in Calgary's colder months it is longer than most people expect, and it is not a figure worth rushing.
Is glass covered by my insurance?
Most comprehensive policies in Alberta include glass, and many treat chip repair with no deductible. Check your policy or ask your broker — we can also confirm coverage with your insurer as part of booking the work.
